Add a handwritten document signature

The Signature setting stores a handwritten image for generated documents containing a [signature] marker. Without an image, those documents use a printable underline.

  1. Open Settings → Signature and inspect whether a signature is already present.
  2. Prepare a clean PNG, JPEG, or WebP image under 2 MB. Crop away unrelated content; a transparent PNG can work well when the document background should remain visible.
  3. Use the upload control or drag the image into the area shown.
  4. Wait for the upload to complete and inspect the preview and status.
  5. Generate a small sample document using the [signature] marker, export it, and check placement and readability in the actual file.

Upload a replacement when the current image is wrong. Use Remove and review its confirmation if you want documents to return to an underline. Check the setting again after the action; a preview alone does not prove the stored image changed.

If upload fails, check the file type and size before retrying. If the signature is absent from a generated document, confirm it contains the marker and inspect the relevant export format. This feature places an image; it does not verify a person’s identity or provide a certified digital-signature workflow.
